☆Twelve days of kiwi Christmas song slide☆

 ☆This is mine and my groups, Twelve days of kiwi Christmas song slide. In Team Toroa we do Christmas rotations in room two with Mrs Barker we had to do a Twelve days of kiwi Christmas but in our  like Kina, sheep, mince pies from the dairy. Writing this was really fun and creative doing this for our Christmas rotation, getting to write all funny and NZ things was so cool.☆

☆I enjoyed working with my group because we all got along, we agreed on everything and none of us had a fit about anything. Adding the animals was another thing we agreed on but we did have a bit of animals so we deleted some and added paru shoes. ☆

☆I found it hard writing shorter sentences because all f the long sentences were really funny and reminded the group I was working with about a bunch of New zealand things. ☆  

 

Christmas animation!

This is my Christmas animation! In class we had to write a letter about Christmas to the Gisborne Herald, I loved writing a letter because I was able to explain what my whanau and I do for Christmas. Christmas doesn't mean just presents for my whanau and I it means spending time with everyone, meeting new people, sleeping on tramps and swimming in the pool and that's what my animation is about! 

I enjoyed making my animation, writing a letter because we haven't written a letter this year to anyone and writing about Christmas about what my whanau and I do.

It was hard to draw a trampoline so I thought about just creating my cousin and I swimming in the pool.

Next time I will add hair for my avatar and my cousins avatar and try to draw the trampoline with all the sleeping bags 

Graphic media quotes

 This is my graphic media quotes, for Manaiakalani today in Team Toroa we all learnt about evaluating media. There was this lady and there were different things in the photo  that we had to find then we had to move the arrows around to point out that we found all of the eleven different things. 

I enjoyed making my graphic media for this Manaiakalani session, I found some new exciting quotes that I was reading. Finding all the different things that were wrong with the picture that the lady was in.  

I found it hard to pick a good quote for my post but I ended up finding good one to use by this man named Rumi. It was kinda hard to find all eleven of the things that were wrong in the picture but I had to zoom in t find them all. 

 

Me at Bondi Beach!

In class for Manaiakalani time we all learnt about scamming and what is real or fake online. There is lots of scamming that happens online. Bank accounts, computers having a virus and people saying they need you private information. So we made another postcard about real or fake.

I found it interesting to say I'm in Aussie and that I went to Bondi Beach, I love watching Bondi Rescue so I thought It would be interesting to do something that relates to a thing I watch and know about.

I found it easy to write in both of the text boxes because I wrote about everything I wanna see and visit in Aussie. 

I found it hard to find a good picture of the lifeguard tower at Bondi beach because there were mostly pictures of the Bondi Icebergs pool also just of the beach. 

 

Me in the Uk!

We were learning about fake or real things, about scamming, fake websites and if the site your on is safe by the little icon in the top left corner has a lock. 

This is my postcard from me in the Uk at the Buckingham palace.

I found it easy to think of a place to be for my holiday postcard because I've always wanted to go to the Uk and visit the Buckingham palace.

I found it hard to make it look real and make people think I was In the Uk.

Next time I will think of a good way to make it look real and have better lighting for my picture. 

E-book. Rangi and Papa

 On every Friday morning we do Te reo time (The Maori language) and this is what me and my cooperative group (Rimu) did. All of the cooperative groups had to make one of these e-books about Rangi and Papa. 

This is (Rimu's) e-book I hope you enjoy it.

I found it fun to polyline some of the things on my slide (the moon) I loved using polyline because I never really used polyline.

I found it hard to do some things because one of my cooperative members kept on changing all the backgrounds that didn't even match the topic.

Next time I hope we will finish this in a week because it took us almost two or three weeks.  

Persuasive writing-Should we be responsible for our environment?

We have been learning in our writing groups how to write a good persuasive writing. 

This is my persuasive writing about should we be responsible for our environment? 

I really liked writing about this topic because it's a really interesting topic to write about for persuasive writing. I got to learn about new things about what's going on around the world with rubbish, pollution and how it affects the land.

I found it hard to think of a good conclusion so it could make the reader more interested in my writing, getting good facts so my writing won't be plain and to make sure it makes sense.

Next time I will make sure I will finish this piece of writing in the time given.    

My book review about Up the pipe

 This is my book review about this book called Up the pipe.

I found it really interesting because I was learning about new chemicals and what Louis does for his job.

I found it a bit hard to do the in my opinion because I was trying to make it different so it wouldn't look the same as I think.

Next time I will not talk to the people around me and try not get distracted. 

My scratch screencastify

 

I found it easy to change the colour of my sprite.

I found it hard to do my screencastify because my wifi was going slow on my chromebook.

Next time I will do the codes since getting a backdrop is quite easy.

Mid-day

I found it easy to think of what's my favourite time of day.

I found it hard to stop talking to others around me because they were also talking and singing. 

Next time I will make sure next time that I will not talk unless I have to go to the teacher.  

The Great Awapuni fun run!

In class we are doing recount writing and this is my recount about the fun run!

I found it easy to do my editing and re-crafting.

I found it hard to think of good describing words to paint a picture in the readers mind.

Next time I will write less and more describing words. 

Ururangi

I found it easy to research about Ururangi.

I found it hard to only add my slide instead of the whole class.

I found it challenging to find the correct background to see the words.

Next time I will not worry about adding a lot of gifs and worry about the work.

I found it easy to look for a image with my buddy Whare.

I found it hard to pick a animal and colour for our background with Whare because he would not like it.

I found it challenging to agree with my buddy.

Next time I will make it a bit more creative.

Hello my name is Calais and I'm from NZ and I go to Awapuni school I have three older sisters. My culture is Maori and Pakeha. 

I am good at netball and surf life saving, I enjoy writing and reading, my challenges are my maths and my goal for the year is to move up a level in maths.

I'm looking forward to this year is my sports. The person who inspires me is my sister's mate Briana Ivring because she is really good at surf life saving, she's really good at sports.
